As of yesterday evening, I bought my own domain name:

• GettinRichTheCertainWay.net

I decided to do this as in most ‘blog’ and ‘get more traffic’ lists around the net, this is always an important point. I decided to make the change for a few reasons:

1. In this way I build up page rank and technorati authority for myself. I can always move away from the blogger site and keep these rankings.
2. It allows me to add different blog to my domain name and thus adding page rank to the overall domain.
3. I also want to add static pages in the future. They might form a link between the different blogs or contain additional information. And I have not seen an elegant way to do this with blogger. It is possible with wordpress or with CMS programs, but then I need additional hosting for them and for now I prefer to keep it as cheap as possible

In general, I would say that having my own domain name keeps open a lot of possibilities while I explore this new medium of blogging.
