Man must form a clear and definite mental image of the things he wishes to have, to do, or to become; and he must hold this mental image in his thoughts, while being deeply grateful to the Supreme that all his desires are granted to him. The man who wishes to get rich must spend his leisure hours in contemplating his Vision, and in earnest thanksgiving that the reality is being given to him. Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwavering faith and devout gratitude. This is the process by which the impression is given to the Formless, and the creative forces set in motion.
A clear and definite mental image is what one requires. But most people do not know what they want. They keep changing their minds. This includes myself.
That is the main reason why I decided to go for ‘a lot’. One million. Everybody wants that.
But do I deserve it? That is the big question. I though not. That it what is now known as ‘a limiting belief’. People often think they do not deserve it. But we do. Especially if we remain on the creative plane. If we believe that we deserve it because others will profit with us, things suddenly become more acceptable.
For me this was a big relief. I could now go for it.
We are also told to contemplate our vision. That means we need to visualize what we want. See it before our mental eye. That is a difficult exercise. Many people cannot see anything when they close their eyes. But wit a lot of practice, everybody can learn it. It is a classical meditation exercise. I will post some more on this later, but a formal meditation class looks like an indispensable tool! I would recommend it to everybody. And the benefits go far beyond wealth. Your health will improve. But more on that later.
But wait, the exercise i not complete: we need to do it in devout gratitude. This complicates the exercise as we need to focus on the image and the feeling at the same time.
I can only give one piece of advice when you try to implement this paragraph: do not be discouraged. This is something that takes time to get it right. In the beginning you will see literally nothing. Just feel it then and continue. But with some time you will begin to see parts of your vision and then things will become clearer and easier.
Mr Wallace also tells us to fill all our leisure hours with contemplation. That is a difficult one. I try to do it twice a day for 5 to ten minutes. But also here, as I continue to do the exercise, time seems to pass faster and I stay longer in contemplation. It starts to feel good and right. Very motivating.
