Jay from Scribbles and words is a man that keeps his promises. If you remember this post, where I announced that he would design a free entrecard card for me, well, he kept his promise. Today I got it in my mailbox and it looks fantastic. I already uploaded it to the entrecard server and now I present it to you:

I have since a few days registered at entrecard and since my traffic has gone up from an average of 2 visits per day to 8 per day.
Although this sounds great, it really isn’t all ‘that’ great. Seeing my traffic log from google analytics, one immediately notices that the average time spent on the site is very low (2 seconds) and that the average page views is also not terrific (1.03).
I must agree that when I use the network, I use it in much the same fashion. I quickly look at the first page, drop my card and go on to the next site in order to collect credits.
So is it all bad? No, I still like the network. It made me discover a few nice blogs. Also, since the network is relatively new, it is still possible to advertise on a A-list blog without spending too much credits (John Chow for instance ‘only’ costs 450 credits to advertise one day on his blog. But he has tens of thousand of pageviews per day! The drawback is that he puts the widget far too low on his page. So I guess that not too much traffic is to be expected from this either.
Another thing I noticed is that 2 more people registered for my rss feed. I must admit that this is a feature that is in itself worth the trouble.(thanks for registering you guys/girls)
