My 1000th visitor

Filed Under (Summary, inspirational, promotion) by admin on 27-01-2008

My blog is now a few months old and has had a slow start. but that is not a real problem. I actually enjoy bringing out a story from time to time, without the need to have a lot of conversions.

Anyway, I heavily promoted the blog in its beginning days and this got me a PR 1 after only a month ans a half. I since lost it again, for no apparent reason. But as I understand the matter, PR is a very complicated thing that is more easily lost than gained. Anyway, I have not seen dramatic changes in the number of people send over from google anyway.

But this morning, I got my 1000th unique visitor. This is a reason to celebrate and to be grateful for this success. And as page views are potentially exponential, I see the potential.

How did this 100th visitor arrive at the page? Well, through a google search for “wattle rich certain way blog”.Exactly what I was aiming for, Although I must admit I did not write a lot of post about Wallace wattles lately.

I’ll try to do better in the future.

Be Well. Be rich. Be great.

The Summary disected: Part 7

This concludes My little series on the Summary of the ‘The science of getting rich’.

It was fun doing. And I learned a lot. The last paragraph has already proved to be right: I advanced in a sure and steady way. I did not make a lot of money, but I learned so much in doing this that I now have a dozen strategies ready.

The most prominent are:

doing a series on meditation
doing a series on mindfulness
doing a series on visualization
doing a series on tantra or sacred sex
doing a series on limiting beliefs
doing a series on affirmations

This will make any SEO happy as their preferred buzzwords are: content, content, content.

I think they are right. It is in accordance with what Mr. Wattles says: ‘give everybody a use value in excess of the cash value you get from him’. When people find a lot of interesting articles, they will come back. And not to forget that to be able to be found, search engines need to list you, and therefore one needs … content, content, content :-)

I hope you enjoyed this first series, of which I am now already sure that I will redo. Once I made some money and be able to put everything in perspective.

Be well, be great, be rich.

Here are all the links to all the articles in the series:

The Summary disected: Part 6

Filed Under (Summary) by admin on 14-09-2007

In order to receive his own when it shall come to him, man must be active; and this activity can only consist in more than filling his present place. He must keep in mind the Purpose to get rich through the realization of his mental image. And he must do, every day, all that can be done that day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner. He must give to every man a use value in excess of the cash value he receives, so that each transaction makes for more life; and he must so hold the Advancing Thought that the impression of increase will be communicated to all with whom he comes in contact.

The last part of the science of getting rich, according to Wallace Wattles, consists in opening up a channel to receive all the riches we asked for. We are to fill more than our place. Doing every action with riches in mind and give more use value than we receive in money in return.

How? Simply by keeping our mind on it. We need to do this for every person we meet, so we should give, even if we do not receive anything. In Buddhism, they have the practice of ‘being the Buddha’. I think Wattles means something similar:

Feel like being rich, healthy and great!

One of the things to keep in mind for this, is our posture: a great person does not slouch. He walks upright, with a dignified posture, but not condescending.

I like to smile at people. They like this. I smile with my lips, but especially with my eyes. People tend to respond very well to this. They even start to have small conversations with me (which never happened before).

The part on doing everything one can do in a perfect way is also a very difficult one for me. I like to touch and learn and experience as many different things as I possibly can. But that tends to backfire. I know something of many things, but I do not do many things very well. It means we have a handicap in almost every discipline.

It is also a good habit to do one thing at the time. Multi-tasking often results in not doing most of the things on the list, and when they are done, they are not done correctly. It is one of those areas in my life that need improvement. But we are getting there …
